Qbittorrent for mac 10.6.8 mac os x#
My first computer was a Mac G3 tower running Mac OS 8-and I first upgraded to Mac OS X in Jaguar (10.2). Thank you for Continuing the discussion from : Ideally you should be a macOS user, because what looks for other operating systems often is unsuitable and looks disgusting on macOS. to hear your opinion on toolbar/preferences icon replacement choice. to hear your approval in regards to fixing issues 1, 2, 3 Personally I would prefer seeing this and this, but this feels like a matter of taste, and I think it won't be ok to replace those unconditionally unless most of the audience here agrees. Except the lock icon, which to me feels rather questionable in both necessity and visual appearance, the rest are not intrusive and do not feel too much outside of overall macOS look.
What is a question of a preference are preferences and toolbar icons (the ones at screenshots 1 and 2 in the beginning of the post). These issues do not look to me like a subject of preference but careless design with bad UX (after all, you cannot like an unreadable icon), and therefore I am ready to prepare a pull request to replace all these icons by pure ifdefs for macOS.

For torrent status the sidebar icons are used, so they will be automatically fixed once replaced. For statusbar the middle icon is replaced, and the rest are uncoloured except the one with connection status (green/red is a good and unintrusive idea, that quickly gives a hint on what is wrong): example. For sidebar dark black icons are used, and they are just readable now: example.I have a version with a black/greyscale iconset, and these issues are generally resolved there: If you check this page, you will see that for most cases Apple uses greyscale and black icons for their products. Torrent status icons are just as unreadable as the sidebar ones ( example), and with red ones it gets even worse.Statusbar icons still look quite out of place, particularly with that black and red speed limiting icon in the middle ( example), yellow arrow is also pretty out of place in my opinion.Sidebar icons are simply unreadable when selected ( example 1, example 2).However, there still are certain major icon issues even with the new set. (Notably #6952 changes are applied to eliminate a ton of other issues). It may not be bad, it is just unsuitable for the design of the operating system.įortunately the current trunk version of qBittorrent offers the toolbar and preferences icons with much dimmer colours ( screenshot 1 and screenshot 2), and thus looks by far better. The current version of qBittorrent, which is 3.3.13, uses the icon set that causes nothing but eye cancer when one looks at it on the mac - screenshot. Below follows my personal opinion, so please do not take it heartly :) Even though this browser is built for older systems, there are still some aspects of Firefox that cause serious stability or security risks for early OS X, meaning that plugins and some other features are not available.Following the discussion in #6952 I would like to get some opinions in regards to qBittorrent icon usage on macOS. Each generation of processor has its own specific version of TenFourFox, so make sure that you have the correct one. TenFourFox solves most of the problems that can result from an older machine running an older OS. If you're one of these users, you may struggle to get the web browsing tool you need. Other users may have no choice but to use older hardware provided by a workplace.

Over time, though, machines that still run perfectly well get left behind by software that will no longer work well on them. Mac users love how reliable their computers are.
Users of older computers can use this app for a modern browsing experience. However, unlike its counterpart, this browser is designed to run on older Mac hardware, including PowerPC processors running older operating systems like OS X 10.4 and 10.5. TenFourFox is a web browser based on the popular Firefox browser. Softonic review TenFourFox is a modern browser for older computers
